Proud Hubby & I are thinking about going to Fonda Isabel tonight; we keep passing it and hearing about it and are intrigued. Saw the Groupon yesterday for it, as well - although we didn't take advantage of it.
In a strip mall just east of Meyers Rd., on Roosevelt. We went tonight; service was spotty because apparently they were short a hand in the kitchen, and it was busy in the dining room because of the Groupon.
It was OK. Better than Santa Fe - which isn't difficult - but not something I'd bust my rear end to try again. They try to be more modern & innovative with their dishes than the usual Mexican restaurant, but the ingredients didn't seem all that fresh or imaginatively seasoned.
