Let me get this straight. Youze guys are intentionally planning a clean-up party on the day that you know I am out of town. That's just hateful.

THIS Sunday???

I can do that. If we can get a group, just tell us what time and where to meet.

Let's see. We adults have a party at the drop of a hat, but when the kids finish high school they get the "been there done that" from parents? Why so smug? I guess the prep school kids shouldn't get anything either until they get out of graduate school, because that's what is expected.

And yes, the reason for the party is because the brats are finally leaving. Let's just hope it's further away than Elmhurst College. Razz Though they will never let go of your wallet.

Not being smug. Nor am I saying there shouldn't be a get together. I am saying that planning it for months is a bit overboard. I love kids...kids love me.

Just a reminder for those graduation get-togethers. Serving alcohol to minors rarely turns out to be a good idea. So, if you're thinking of the old "they are under my supervision" rule...you're still a dope. I find any adult making parental decisions for my kids with regard to that kind of ****, they'll be pulling me off of them like a pit bull.

In my mind, there is a meaningful distinction between getting together for a party, and a party to celebrate a specific individual's ostensible achievement.

Of course, I tend to think that kids these days (and especially in our community) have too much handed to them too easily, and get too much credit for too little achievement.

Dins, you are so insensitive. Don't you know some of these kids are forced to drive USED BMW's. Eek

Parents-Please buy your kids hands free kits for their phones or better yet advise them not to dial & drive. Texting even more so. Nearly got hit by a young waif who was blabbing on her phone.

making it through any sacrament preparation at St. Pet's IS an accomplishment. if my parents had had to go though this (meetings, projects, retreats, etc.) none of us (and there were ALOT of us) would have made any sacraments. so, be proud and have a great day...i'll be praying that you have beautiful weather. First holy communion is a lovely day...they (the kids) will likely never be that holy again.

Where's Fish? There's some kind of subject-verb problem here, Clam. It sounds like you're going to be latching onto your kids with booze-loving party-givers pulling you off with their mouths.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

So far, I'm underwhelmed. What became of the interactive website that was going to be set-up to support this?

Yoss,
The interactive website is being done,at no cost, through a very generous offer by Houseal Lavigne who was the other planning planning firm bidding on the Downtown Plan.
They do a superior job with their websites.
It should be live in the next few weeks I believe.
I will let you know.
See you in the AM

I didn't see you, Candidate! I've never met 4MP in person so I could have seen him and not known it. Oh well - see you in the morning!
