My long-time colorist is leaving the salon where I get my hair done, and as the salon is in Woodridge, I'm thinking now would be a good time to switch to one of the many (many...many...) salons here in Glen Ellyn. Does anyone have any recommendations? I need a great colorist and a great stylist - doesn't have to be the same person, only the same salon. My hair's kind of tricky to cut 'cause it's dense and curly, and not every stylist can do that.

Thanks!

Felipe's on Roosevelt Road in Oakbrook Terrace. Trust me...I know these things.

What part of "no" don't you understand?

Call Linea, describe your hair, and they will have a great one for you.

I went to Linea, about 12 years ago when we first moved here, but I didn't like anyone there - the stylists were all chatty young girls just out of high school, much more interested in what they were going to order in for lunch than they were in my hair. Maybe the atmosphere's changed, though.

I hear you about Linnea, same experience here. But I recently returned with a color challenge that Karri fixed beautifully.

Sharon, one of the owners of the new salon in the old Cottage Gardens site (called Estem) has been cutting my crazy, curly hair for years. She worked for years at 499 West and really "understands" curly hair. I don't color my hair, so I can't recommend her from personal experience, but I know a lot of women use her for color too.

Call Joni Busch at Fusion next to SBUX. Every time I am in there she is coloring some dame's hair. She is village=renowned for her coloring prowess from what I hear. I also know of one person from another salon that gets her hair colored by her.
