Poor Mamattorney

That's not Beef!

quote:
The firm contends that that Taco Bell shouldn't market the taco meat filling in question as beef because their testing shows that it only contains 36 percent ground beef

IF it is accurate, I must confess that it does not surprise me. When was the last time anyone was in TB? I like to save my overindulgences for really goos shizzle . . . and the crap at McZD's, B.K., KFC and TB ain't what I am looking for.

Anyone believe Arbys or Hardees serves a "roast beef" sandwich? Scary looking meat if you look closely (which I haven't lately).

And I'll have you all know that I have not yet eaten at or from the remodeled Taco Bell/KFC on Roosevelt.

So it's not like I eat there once a week - I just love Taco Bell. I could totally go for a Chalupa right now!

Those combined fast food restaurants have always creeped me out a bit. Obviously it's to save cost but all I can think of is sticky floors, dirty restrooms and that they share the deep fryer grease. brrr.

Yes, I do. Seems as though you've fallen for the Arby's uses "meat" made from a paste, gel or powder urban legend

"The meat Arbys uses is made from a paste, gel, liquid, or powder?" Big Grin

Plus their answer is their "roast beef" contains beef, self basting solution and water to keep it juicy. LOL! Good one.
Gotta wonder which part of the cow the "roast beef" comes from.

Full context from snopes.com is:

Claim: The meat Arbys uses is made from a paste, gel, liquid, or powder

Status: False

For more information, I suggest reading the entire snopes debunking.

The best combined restaurant out there to me is the Baskin Robbins/Dunkin Donuts concept. They just seem so practical. One is breakfast food, the other eaten anytime except breakfast (generally).

Bio, I didn't even know Hardee's still existed outside of the East and South....

BTN: it doesn't have to be made from any of those things to be gross....deli meat in general is covered in chemicals and processed extensively to the point where much of it isn't really meat anymore anyway.

Mama, What goes better with ice cream than some awesome coffee??!!

Only if by "south" you mean south of I-80 (which is actually a pretty good demarcation line). There's a Hardees in Kankakee that I've been to.

I was actually referring to FL and VA, which were the last two places I'd ever seen one. I had no idea there were any left in IL.
