Can anyone tell me why they do not offer a multi ticket punchcard or something for the SplashPad. They only offer a 15 pass multi ticket in conjunction with 15 rounds of mini-golf for $60.00, and that is only at the beginning of the season. I have tried to inspire Fan like love for the game, but that is ridiculous. You don't want 4 year olds and 2 year olds with clubs in their hands.

$3.00 a shot, per kid, period? Wouldn't this be an easy money maker and more of a draw if you could flash your pool pass that you put your season pass SplashPad ticket on? Get the money early as well. Seems like a winner plan to me. Any thoughts?

I was wondering the same thing. Why not have a Splash Pass? We are not pool members and we definately do not want my 2 year old (or 5 year old for that matter) holding a golf club!

Elk Grove Village has a much better splash pad park and when they started they charged only non residents $1. After two years of this they stopped charging, it was too much of an inconvience to staff the facility. I think that it is crazy to charge so much for sooooo little. But we are the community with lots of extra spending money.

"Sorry folks, park's closed. Moose out front shoulda told ya."

umm . . . my 5 year old and 3 year old love Holes and Knolls minigolf. No injuries yet! Although to them, minigolf is some sort of hybrid between hockey and minigolf, but fun none-the-less.

And I know it has been put down by several on this board over the last two years, but as a non-pool pass holder, I like the mini splash pad in Lombard by the train station. If I've only got an hour or so for the kids to spend in the water (as it seems often happens on busy summer weekends), they are perfectly content at this little sprinkler park -- and it's free.

Some sort of seaonal pass options...be it for all of Maryknoll Park (golf and splash) or one or the other would be awesome! We purchased the coupon book...its available only at Spring Avenue and not Main Street (why?) and the credit card transaction to purchase it requires a bunch of hand written paperwork (course application.) Seems like there has got to be a better way on a lot of fronts to bring in more revenue with less customer hassle...

A Lombard resident told me the homeless passing thru his town seem to have a similarly favorable opinion on the shower facilities.

That makes sense to me! If I were homeless, I'd certainly partake in any free available shower facilities.

I have not encountered any homeless people anywhere near Lombard's downtown splash pad - they do not seem to frequent it on weekends either in the late morning or in the post-nap/pre-dinner time periods that I tend to go there. Instead there are many, many happy toddlers, little children and their parents there - enjoying the facilities.

For me, it is not a question of which facilities are better, rather a matter of convenience. I do not mind paying for the service, I just don't want to have to whip out cash on the spot everytime we want to stop in. Lombard would be way to far out of my way. (Not like Maryknoll is conveniently located).
