For once, I must disagree Fan.

Which part? Do I need it?

Its never a matter of need, but of want. Smile

Don't buy a new one. Get one coming off a lease with less than 30k on it. You will still have a year or two of warranty. Go over to Auto Show Case (Main St. [Wheaton] and North Ave.) Take one for a test drive.

Agreed, All of my nieces went to safety village. If its a fun class they might remember something from it. If it saves just one life, it is well worth the investment.

I cheated at imdb, Yoss. Frown

Dan Resin - Dr. Beeper

I do remember those ads, though. Didn't Dave Chappelle do some "little man man in the toilet bowl" skit?

Hi,

Perhaps it is not delight at the educational benefits at all, but the 1.5 to 2 hours of almost-free babysitting it provides. Someone on this BB once made a similar comparison to Wednesday night religious ed.

We're all signed up! LOL

A nearby Safety Town. What millions and millions and millions of donated dollars will buy.

I say we go for it. Why let Napertucky have all the fun?

At the same time, learning about safety issues that could ultimately save lives <yes this statement will be portrayed as 'drama' by many, but I really believe it to be true>.

BUT, if we already do have a Safety Village at Spring Road, why not look into improving/expanding it? Why does it have to be rebuilt and placed in Maryknoll Park? Now that this has been brought up, I feel this is more of the argument here. If it already exists, why reinvent it?

Please define 'professionals'. My 4 year old son took the safety class at SARC last year...what a joke. The class appeared to be run by college students on summer break. It appeared to be I was paying the park district for child care. They would have the students color in 'safety' coloring books and give them a snack at the end of class. I was not the only parent disappointed in the quality of the instructions.
