The weekly papers on your drive are chock-full of folks who were out after midnight when they shouldn't have been. And the occasional GE mom who shouldn't be behind the wheel at 10:30 A.M.

I'm thinking at 20 years old you should know better than to get arrested over 20 cents.

This is sad.

Sad that it happen to a seemingly good kid that is the face of a Chicago sports franchise.

And, sad that is happens so often that it surprises almost no one.

Sometimes even being with family is dangerous.

This story is full of holes and absolutely ridiculous (I did not read this link, but have followed the story). It's clearly a case of a cab driver who saw $$$ signs. I don't believe a word this guy says. Living in Buffalo, NY and not knowing who Patrick Kane is? It's Buffalo, NY - Patrick Kane's hometown, he knows exactly who he is. I saw a video interview where the driver said all this happened while they were still driving. Yeah right - who pays a cab driver before a cab is stopped, especially if he wants to pay with exact change (which I've never heard of - maybe they do that in Buffalo)?

Last night the cab driver's attorney made the statement that the whole thing was being completely overblown and that there was no robbery (the felony charge). If this idiot's attorney is undermining his case like that, you can be confident that it didn't go down as reported.

Additionally, I find very interesting that all the reports make sure to mention that he was leaving the "nightlife" area, yet he was not even charged with underage drinking or public intoxication. So we're expected to believe that this all happened when the perpetrator is responsible enough to physically refrain from drinking in the "nightlife" district? I don't think so.

This will all go away - and unfortunately, the cab driver will likely no longer have to drive a cab when it's all through - which was his goal anyway.
