I'm fairly certain that 4MP is referring to Glen Elly tot flag football. There is an Illini team this year and rumor has it that they are running away from the competition.

Clam, if you want to see a true machine at work, come check out the Purdue Boilermaker Flag Team, Sunday the 21st at 3:30 in your backyard at GBW....4MP does have a couple of football stars on his hands.....
I'll cheer for any team with Purdue in their name! Went to the Ohio State vs. Purdue game last week. Painful. First have was horrific. Second half was better...technically, if we only counted the 2nd half, we would have won (held OSU to two field goals and Purdue scored a touchdown) but after a 17-0 first half, we were just too far behind. It was crazy hot too....oh well. Go Boilers!

How Fun. My son plays 130 lb. tackle but we do not have a game that day. It is always fun at Duchon Field. They boys think it is so cool that they may be playing there when they are in high school. My sons think it is cool, because their father went to Glenbard West. But that was in the 70's. Their father only ran cross country.

Speaking of the Illini....the mini ones...not the ones that lost to Michigan Saturday...congrats on beating UCLA...by one point, I believe...on what appeared to be the last play of the game.
And IMJ's Purdue made a game of it against Notre Dame. I have found in life that it is easy to hate Notre Dame teams regardless of what form or age they are. Those guys burst Purdue's bubble on the first play from scrimmage with what appeared to be a 230 yard run for a TD.
Watching those little guys on that big field was a hoot. And if you don't think it's a good time hanging out with Mr. and Mrs. 4MP...and the 4MP extended family...you just don't know good times.
BTW, IMJ...since you guys played the last game...I'm sure you'll be personally blamed for leaving the scoreboard on all night long.

It would have been nice for the Purdue coaches to stick around to at least turn off the scoreboard since the Notre Dame coaches cleaned up the field after a day of games.
And as for Purdue's bubble? What bubble, I couldn't see a bubble through all the smoke coming off #9 heels after that 230 yard run for a touchdown.

Who announces those games? Those of us in the Nolongercovetedlakeellynarea that like to sleep in after a late night out at Ditka's did not appreciate his enthusiam or his volume.
