OK. Death is not an option.
Charley Weis as coach or W as President. Ronald M. Kas |

My Illinois friends and I absolutely love this article.
Charlie Weis - The Worst Coach in the Universe |

Monsieur Hypocrite, Those are college-aged boys he coaches, most of them (in ND's case)"teen-aged". Let's not be judgemental in one situation over the other. |

Where did you get the idea that anyone around here is judgmental? I am a dyslexic agnostic insomniac. I lay awake at night wondering if there is a dog. |

My greatest fear is that they fire his highest-paid fat *ss...and Notre Dame gets better under the watchful eye of another.
That would be a the worst case scenario for me. But they are pretty stuck with him given the size and length of his contract. Which makes me smile. |

I had lunch with Ron Zook this past spring and he said as long as Charlie Weis is at Norte Dame, Illinois football and Illinois recruiting will be in great shape. I kind of shook my head as I thought he was full of ****. Maybe he's onto something. |

Though his reputation is rapidly crumbling, especially in light of what the Patriots offense has turned into since he left (Moss will do that to ya), he still has cache in the NFL (for some reason). It's going to get REAL interesting if the NY Giants don't get Bill Cowher in the offseason. Will they go after Weis as their fall back (probably, he's still a "big name") and would Weis leave ND for the bright lights of NY/NFL (most definitely)? He would defintely roll his butt out of town in the middle of the night and leave ND holding the bag. ND better fire him, before he "fires" ND. Especially after how crappy they treated Ty and then watch Weis coach Ty's players in the offense that Ty had to blow up the program to institute - only to watch Weis steal all the credit. |

Is that right? Does he slurp when he has soup? He looks like he would slurp.. |

I named him. Not the decision of a high school football coach. Weis is a fraud, as my friend Clam points out. By the way, Notre Dame and most college athletes are men. And women. Not children. They bear no resemblance to a high school athlete. The demands and the incentives at their respective schools are not even in the same universe as a high school athlete. Unless you count Texas. High school football there is a professional business. Ronald M. Kas |

So Jimmy Clauson (or whomever) went from a "child" to a "man" over the course of three months? Whatever makes you feel better. Just remember - nobody died or lost a job just because of how Charlie Weis coached those kids! |

Troof: I will go down whatever rabbit hole of logic you want, but Jimmy Clauson is not the prime example of "boy" for your argument.
Jimmy, along with his entourage, held a press conference to announce his surprise decision to grace Notre Dame with his presence. Although a great high school quarterback, he has shown zero since getting the starting job handed to him. Reminds me of Cade McNown. Everything about him is calculated. And Demetrius Jones, another great high school quarterback, lost out because of how Charley Weis coached his team. Ronald M. Kas |
