Bye Lou, it was a good two years

Sorry to hear that his mother's poor health is what's prompting this retirement, but he's making the right choice. Besides, Lou stopped managing a couple of years ago.

Who do you think the Cubs will bring in now?

Supposedly Quade will take over for the rest of the year.

I guess it will come down to Trammel and Sandberg.

I think the Cubs will have a hard time getting a highly regarded manager to come and take the job.

Cubs look they are in another rebuilding era. They have a lot of big contracts, with under performing players, they will try to unload. I don't see a lot coming up through their farm system.

WSCR quoted the Hendry who said Trammel is not under consideration.
