There once was a thread asking for children's birthday parties ideas. We recently had a great experience at the Village Links for a few 6, 7 and 8 year olds. The kids got half an hour on the green, then half an hour on the range, with a golf pro. He taught them, let them practice, then held a couple of competitions in each area. The group then walked over to the grill for lunch and cake. Kids had fun and the Links team was extremely helpful.
We had a party at Lucky Strike in Yorktown. Kinda pricey...but it wasn't Brunswick. So....worth the bump in $$$ spent. Plus it was the last hurrah as far as highly populated parties are concerned.
Hot waitresses, too. Bet the links doesn't have any of those.

Does anyone remember the places that had the plastic tubes to crawl around in? They were very popular for birthdays about 10 years ago or so. I don't know if they're around anymore though.
I'm a huge fan of the Links. Glad to hear of another facet of their excellence. I believe this weekend is their "Have one on us" - so any regulars or casual visitors might want to stop by for a visit and some cheap eats.
I'm looking for someone who does face painting and balloon animals for a kids parties at a reasonable price. I have called a couple of places and they want $120 hour. Love the kids but I think that's ridiculous.
