I am looking for a responsible, friendly, and outgoing local college student to help care for my 2 elementary school-aged children.
I need help 2 evenings per week (probably Wednesday and Thursday) and possibly two early mornings per week (Thursday and Friday)-- to help get them off to school by 8am.
Evening duties (about 5:00p to 7/8:00p) may include serving prepared dinner, clean-up, assistance with homework, play or light housework. Morning duties (about 6:00am-8:00am) may include getting kids ready for school, breakfast, packing lunches, and walking them to Lincoln School (before care) by 8am.
I can pay up to $15 per hour to the right person. Experience preferred and references required.

Don't know if you've tried this yet, but supposedly Wheaton College maintains a list of available babysitters. As I have no kids yet, I haven't personally checked it out.
ETA: there are also nanny locators in the Chicagoland area that advertise part-timers; they get $12-$15/hr. I've heard.
