Mrs. Yoss has a bunch of networking information, I'll pass it on once she returns from her business trip tomorrow.
I work for Menlo and we are on the cusp of securing some pretty signifigant accounts, which will require we hire some customer service people. Our AP is done up in Portland, but we have a pretty good size customer service facility in Aurora. Pay is in line with what you've stated. Let me know if you might have some interest. I also know people at United in Elk Grove, if you find anything of interest there.

I think Elmhurst School District 205 might be looking for some folks in their accounting/financial offices. Not sure though. The website is Here
You might check other school districts too.

Clam- I've emailed you, so now I've been semi outted. I have no idea if I would be willing to go into the city. I guess it would depend on the salary. If they would even be interested in me.
Yoss- Let me think on the customer service. It wouldn't be too much different than AP I bet. And thanks for passing the question along to Mrs. Yoss.
Amy and Mrs Speechlady- I have been checking out all the school and village sites that I can find. I will look into Elmhurst too.
Thanks everybody!

Spacie....Clam has no intent on looking for a job for you. You just fell for his phishing scam. He is bent on obtaining all personal info. for everyone on this board.
I am a dyslexic agnostic insomniac. I lay awake at night wondering if there is a dog.
I did forward your resume to two clearing firms in the big city. Couldn't figure out why you hadn't sent me an up-to-date copy...until I realized you had not been working since then.
Your confidential information is safe with me....and Fish...and Fan and the Artens....oh, and GE1958, Yoss and GENuke. And Considered Phlebitis.

Got it. Looks good, Spacie. I will consider hiring you, pending an interview, and pending deciding on what I myself want to do next for a living. I am looking for a new job as well.
I do not visit this board too often, so I apologize for the delay.
I just returned from vacation and have not yet checked my business email, but as of last week I had an AP opening. If you are serious, send your resume and I will contact you Monday with all the details; the position supports an accounting team for a large European manufacturer and will involve resolving money owed by regional and district offices in the U.S., as well as resolving process issues with an office in Bangalore.

Oh my gosh! Can you tell its been awhile since I checked every topic on here?! Well korungacha had a great lead, but the drive was too far...I actually got a call back from the Arboretum to see if I was interested in the job I interviewed for there, but they were too late! I started back to work May 29th.
I was rehired at the last place I worked (4 years ago) that I was laid off from when they moved accounting. I am now in Client Finance (Expense Analyst) for SIRVA in Westmont. Making a tidy amount more than what I left at, may I add, which is more than most AP jobs pay. I know 6 people in my department from before the lay off. So far it's going well.
Now if those dang Cicadas would stop dive bombing me on the way to my car after work I would be the happiest person on the planet!
