We're looking for a responsible high school student to watch our 2 children - ages 4 years old and 5 mos.- from 3-5, Monday through Thursday. 1 parent will be home at all times. Hourly wage negotiable depending on experience. We live near downtown Glen Ellyn, 5 minute walk from Glenbard West.

Please respond to this posting if you're interested or know someone that is. Thank you!

I don't know about the rest of the people on this board but I consider myself interesting and also know a few interesting people...

Couldn't resist...I'm sure you will find someone pretty quick.

That makes one. Razz Check out Wheaton College as well for possible candidates.

How did you get blessed with children 4 AND 5 months?

I'm sure he/she meant 4 years and 5 months.

Tough crowd. Poor thing is looking for help...and gets English lessons. Shame on all of you. Why can't you all be more like me?

You might call GBW to talk to the teacher of their Child Development classes. They run a childcare program for a couple of hours a day and that teacher may know students who would be a good fit for your kids (especially for the 5 month old as they need very different care than the 4 year old). So many of the kids at West have other after school commitments (like my daughter because otherwise, I'm sure she'd LOVE to help you out) but the teacher might know some of her better students that are more available.

Good luck to you!

Thank you Amy. This is very helpful. We also picked up the childcare list from Wheaton College. I'm hopeful we'll find someone.

Hate to highjack, but the "NEED A RELIABLE PLUMBER" thread is closed? I ended up using Indoor Plumbing and so far so good. The plumber was very profesional. My only issue was price as it cost $212 for snaking 25 feet of pipe (Keep it clean Clam). The price seems extremely high. What do you folks think?
