Who rights the warranty?

The devil is in the detail. I 've got to go in and go over the specifics, too much to cover over the phone.

Dear Half: Jim Nuccio from Fox Valley would like to apologize for these actions. He is a principal in the organization. He wants to clear the air. His tele# is 630-654-9000. I personally know Jim and his brother and President Bill Nuccio and I have never heard of an issue like this though anything is possible with salesmen on the floor. They will make it up to you I am sure. As we know in any business, reputation is key. They take this very seriously. Give em a call and let me know what happens, only trying to help here.

No. I'm an idiot just like everyone else. It's high time you all learn this.

To answear what I think you meant, the warranty is underwritten by InterContinental Warranty Services. Time to do some research.

Make sure you understand whether the warranty is inclusion based or exclusion based. In reading through various offers from extended warranty companies I tend to find the inclusionary ones are more prone to include vague (read: "open to interpretation") terms.

What's the verdict, Yoss?
We want to know.

Yoss pulled the trigger on the 2001 Audi TT roadster with 43,000. We had Schaumburg Audi inspect the car and the only potential repair was a loose ball joint, otherwise the car is in excellent condition. It's the 225 hp. version with Quattro. The rotors still have about another 10,000 on them, but I may replace/upgrade them sooner with some Brembo slotted rotors. We will be purchasing a warranty through our credit union, we just haven't decided which package. I really just want the engine, drive train and electrical covered, anything else can be covered out of pocket. In some respects I think the Z4 was a better drivers car, but the price and the fact that we "know" TT's tipped the scale.

After the fact, but wanted to chime in that I checked out my buddy's new purchase of a VW Eos yesterday. Mighty fine-looking car. Pretty peppy V6, and plenty of leg room (with the front seats all the way back - eliminating ANY rear seat legroom.) Seeing that retractable hardtop go thru its paces I commented that there looked like a whole bunch of moving parts to potentially break down. He assured me that, especially since it is its inaugural year, he bought the longest most inclusive warranty available. Top down, there's essentially no trunk room. But top up, you can still power open the sunroof. Pretty nifty toy.
