All right, here's the deal. I've hit 30...the body isn't feeling as good as it used to. Hamstrings are tight and I don't think that I'm hitting the golf ball as far as I used to. Plus, the suits are not feeling as good as they used to..oh, and I probably need to lose 20 lbs.
I need help! I'm falling apart. My schedule is erratic so I need something set in stone...and I need someone to yell at me I start to slack.
I'm looking for advice on a personal trainer.
Anyone?

Hey Mr. Sta-Puff-Get off the internet and start jogging. I don't want to hear "it's too cold", get going or I'll do a colon exam with my foot.
Am I hired?
But seriously, I met a trainer at Gus's party last year, his wife posts on this BB. Mrs. Yoss and I talked to him for a while and I can tell you he knows his stuff. If I needed a trainer I'd go with him.
I've been training for over 20 years, I can tell getting started is by far the hardest part. Once you get into a routine, it gets easier, so stick with it
Mrs. Speechlady's husband is a personal trainer. I can give you her number.

Speechlady's husband/trainer guy is very knowledgable. He works at Health Track. Also at HT is Sue. She is a very busy trainer and really whips butt. I hope you can say that on the BB.
Fan - From personal experience, you DO NOT want to get into super, fantastic shape at the exact same time your wife has delivered your third child and is caring for three young children! She may try to smother her cardio-fit/toned spouse in his sleep. Maybe that was just me, but consider yourself warned!
Maybe this is something you can do together, if she is interested in that kind of couples time.
Does anyone have any experience with Fitness Together? Seems, like TrainerGuy, to be the ultimate in accountability if it is indeed one on one training. Who could not show up knowing someone is waiting for him/her? Although we have a Healthtrack membership and some of our gebb friends can witness that I have actually been there, we consider our monthly fee our largest charitable contribution..
Fan, Dropped off the name/number of trainerguy in your mailbox. Don't miss it.

Practice must be doing well, if you are eager to piss away cash on something as unnecessary as a personal trainer. Whatsamatter? Need someone to count push-ups for you? Just put away that bulging wallet, put down the twinkies, and get your lazy carcass moving. Besides, you're gonna need that cash to pay me on the links this summer!
One last person I highly recommend: Marc Woodcock. He is a personal trainer at Health Track. He is also the badminton coach at Glenbard South, a great guy. He knows personal training with the very best of them, is very personal. Marc has ran like 12 marathons, most under 3 hours.
