We need someone to watch our 2 dogs for one week, starting the Christmas night - until New years Eve.
We are open to having them stay at a private home or a boarding kennel. Anyone on this site know of a good, reputable place (or individual who wants to make some cash and loves dogs) that won't charge a fortune, for our doggies while we are gone?

We have used the Lombard Animal Hospital to board our dog in the past and have been very pleased. It might be hard to get in there tho over the holidays, they seem to book up pretty quickly. Here is their ph # 627-7090. Good luck!
We have used them before. My wife acidentally told her boss that she would watch his 700 pound male yellow lab while he and his family vacationed. After the second peeing-in-the-bedroom "incident", Old Yeller made his way via the back of a station wagon to Lombard and out of our home...a bargain for $17 per day.
I was glad to hear that he had picked up a case of kennel cough (not an indictment...this happens everywhere)...served him right.

FYI in case anyone ever needs this service: I checked out a dog walking service, located in GE. Turns out it was almost Double the cost and only included 2 walks per day, which is obviously not enough. Yikes, could be almost $45 per day!! We are better off dropping them off at the place you recommended.
