Parents protest test in English
I think I see the problem here, from the article- "Speaking through a Spanish-English translator, parent Erika Soto said her third-grade daughter is “very smart, but because of this test, she is going to be labeled a failure. So how is she going to feel?’’ Let me pose this question, if I move to a foreign country to find a better life, should I expect the natives to speak my language or should I expect I need to learn theirs? "Any man who is under 30, and is not a liberal, has not heart; and any man who is over 30, and is not a conservative, has no brains." (Winston Churchill) |
