Amy, nice job on the articles for Schoolweek. I know the series is "Road to College". Is there any plan, after this series, to touch on the other career choices available to students? Union apprenticeships, etc.?

Those will be touched upon later in the series though not as in-depth. I'd love to do that at some point. This is the first series and if all goes well with Schoolweek and they get positive feedback about my articles, I'd be happy to keep on writing.

Thanks for the nice comments middlein. I've had two incredibly exhausting days at work so this is a nice re-charge for me. Smile

I really liked how you touched on how early colleges are pushing the kids to commit to a college...we sent one off to college a year ago and our daughter is a senior. She is positively inundated with mailings, emails, phone calls etc. all inviting her to take advantage of their various fee-waived or super-duper-priority early application processes. We need to keep reminding her to take it slow and make an informed decision- not just try to get it done fast!

If you have to pick the sport you want to play in HS when you are 9, then choosing a college at 13 makes sense to me. Smile
