I want the board to move forward and put turf in all athletic fields for all four schools. I believe this will help create a quality educational program and give our students a competitive edge over other high schools
I have paid attention to our schools for close to thirty years now. Please help me understand how having turf fields helps our students matriculate successfully to college. When I watch the physical state of the two campuses in Glen Ellyn I can't help but identify far more pressing issues for building and grounds repair and maintenance to address prior to adding turf. I don't see where turf improves does anything to advance student achievement. To the contrary, I see where focusing on extracurriculars during a time of economic hardship is frivolous and short sighted. When we went to a six period day I was appalled at the lack of cutting the athletic and extracurricular programs underwent. Surely turf in this economic climate is a case of the tail wagging the dog.
Monkeys have feet that are very similar to their hands. Have you ever noticed that?
Other than that, monkeys suck. Hate 'em. If I could I'd dragged their monkey asses around on artificial turf until their fur came off and their skin was rubbed raw.

There are many areas that have higher taxes than GE. We actually enjoy reasonably low tax rates for the abundant services we receive. Do your research. You will find I am correct.

Isn't that a little harsh. Funny, but harsh none the less.
We need to get our priorities straight. I neighbor of mine just spent $25K on a wedding for his daughter. $25K for a four hour party. That money could have gone into our school taxes and given her and all the kids in our town soo much more

Fan, you must have attended a school with artificial turf. I can tell because you use proper grammar even when it sounds like nails on a chalkboard to modern ears.
