Hmmmm, nuts laced with dog food?

Dog food....it sounds like some dogs across the street are hungry.

Be still my fingers....

So where do you stay when you're there GER ?

My family has a place in the Boulder Junction area (and a falling down farmhouse in the Tomahawk area, but that's a whole other story).

They both have great recipes. Wink

Long story short, old farm, mom was born there, too many memories to give it up, there it sits, lots of unused acres, fire-trap barn. Its on Hwy. 8.

Easy, Marty's wins. Boulder Beer Bar has new owners but they didn't do much to the building, menu kinda stinks. If downtown, I'd do Headwaters up on M.

Have you two ever been to Voss's Birchwood Lodge on the Manitowish Chain? Really cool nostalgic resort from the 1920's, original birch bark beams, great view of Spider Lake out the dining room. If you haven't, take the Mrs. there for a romantic dinner...it's worth the drive. It had a big write up in the New York Times a couple years ago.

Oh Goody! Something to do when we retire. We've never been there. We'll give it a try.

When a piece of flaming barn board hits your windshield, it will be on your left.

Wink

Not really a good way to identify it...it's not near any cross streets really and pretty much out in the middle of nowhere.

Remember, take the Mrs. to Voss's Birchwood Lodge. She's already picking out her outfit with lipstick to match. Big Grin

I certainly hope all of this chummy Wisconsin banter isn't taking your mind off of what ultimately needs to be done this w/e. Namely....spiced nuts.

Shes already dressed and ready to go. Roll Eyes
I think you should consider selling the Farm to me so I can watch over it when we move. Or at least let me drive my Tractor around on it while I sing Ol Mc Donald Eek

Is it always all about Clam?

Your nuts are actually on my 'to do' list (seriously), although near the bottom. You may be surprised to find some on your porch soon.

More chummy banter.
GER, Do you get up there much ? We can't be too far away. Is it east or west of L [old 51]? Like I said, I love old Farms.
Do you work on recipes when you're there ? Roll Eyes

I know if my nuts were on your 'to do' list and I found them on my porch I would be something a litte more than surprised.
