Just wanted to give both high schools a big round of applause. Not only did we have two fine runs in the State playoffs, but both schools lent a hand at different community and charity based events over the weekend.

It was very impressive to see the GW Basketball team hauling boxes for the Junior Women's Charity Baskets. They worked their butts off and not a grumpy face among them. (Also not an under 6 footer either it seems).

Volunteers from GS helped the Rotary with their Citrus sale. Quite a job of unloading, labeling and delivering.

It is nice to see the community support these student athletes and the athletes responding to the community in kind. In my day, you would have had to dynamite me out of bed on a Sat., let alone get me to do hard manual labor for free. The coaches, staffs and students should all get a huge round of applause for their hard work.

This is what Glen Ellyn should be all about.

you are correct. I couldn't figure out how to change the discussion title after I realized my mistake.
