troof speaks some troof. was a time when the town would really display the GW colors. perhaps, the thrill is gone a bit and maybe a little apathy exists after so many losing seasons. words on the village sign are nice, but that pales in comparison to what it could be. of course nothing brings out more fans than a few important wins. maybe we'll see more green and white this week. go GW! |

Unless someone fixed it from yesterday morning, the Village message board at Main and Penn reads Good Luck Glenbard South Hilltoppers Glenbard West Raiders Either someone messed around with it and didn't get really creative OR the village has a moron on the staff who has no idea about the two schools in town.
"Sorry folks, park's closed. Moose out front shoulda told ya."

For the record - that touchdown was scored when there were quite a few members of the SOPHOMORE team on the field. About 20 had practiced last week with Varsity. What a nice opportunity for them. Now, Mrs. Hetlet just needs to deliver their baby in the next day or two so Coach can get down to coaching for next weekend!  |

You are correct. It did say that...and still does.  BTW, what were the odds going into the weekend that the Glenbard South Hilltoppers and the Glenbard West Raiders would each score 41 points against their ooponents? |

Wow. Took pictures of the sign this morning to keep in my scrapbook. In fairness, it's only wrong on the north side. It's right on the south side, but that's really no excuse. Hopefully, someone is just being funny.

Looks like there will be some tough playoff games for Glen Ellyn this weekend - West opponent Morgan Park's only loss this season was to South opponent Richard's on a last second field goal. There are some pretty scary numbers on the Morgan Park website! |

Playing Morgan Park will be like playing Ohio State. If they lose...zero shame. They have had a great season that was much better than their 5-4 record indicated.

GW game on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Duchon Field
GS game on Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Richards in Oak Lawn
Both GS and GN games are being voted on to be shown in the Fox Hilites (their spelling, not mine), but only GS was highlighted in the district notes e-mail sent today. I understand that it's not a big deal on the GE board, but couldn't D87 make a pitch for both of the schools. GN is playing GW's rival York Friday night in Carol Stream.
