Changing my score as someone called me out as being polite and politically correct. What I meant was:

GW 52
GS 10

Disregard my earlier prediction.

Nice onside kick before half when it was 35-0. You made your point at 35-0, you are the better team. No need to kick dirt in their faces too coach.

I will admit that GW looks just as good from the fence on Ellyn Road as they did last year.

These really are two different programs. Can't figure out why. Demographics are roughly the same. How could South have looked so bloody awful?

A total mismatch in favor of GBW tonight. 49-0 and it looked even easier than that. I didn't think much of the onside kick with the 38-0 lead or leaving the startes in for most of the 3rd quarter.

ouch! Frown

I think the onside kick was at 28-0. The half ended at 35-0. While I wasn't wild about it, I think running up the score doesn't apply during the 1st half.

Not a close game...but another winning event for the community: Well attended, good sportsmanship off the field and incident-free. The match has taken on sort of a Wrigley Field atmosphere...SRO and not too many watching the game - just having fun!

It was 28-0 near the end of the 2nd half. I think in the first half that is acceptable. Its a play you might want to practice during an actual game.

Well West has bigger attendance and South was missing its starting QB. South has some quality players just not enough of them. I think South only lost two games last year one to West and I think they lost to St. Charles by a point.

Disagree. Game situation or not...just not necessary.

That's what is great about this town....we can agree to disagree. And only jombl will rip your throat out for doing so. Big Grin

I've seen too many returned all the way to get too upset about that play.

I don't know if the defense still gets doughnuts for a shut-out - but there is an extra incentive!

Also - Hinsdale lost to WWS!

GS was really behind the 8 ball with their QB going down and another kid getting hurt. But lets be real, GBW is for real and they are a much better team.

GBS played hard, but i think their offensive game plan was ****** by the injury and they had to rely on a guy that never has played QB, and a Junior that hasn't played alot with the varsity this year.

With all that being said, the onside kick was bush league and could be practiced any time. There is something to be said about sportsmanship against community school. Do that against Wheaton or Hinsdale, not against your own district.
