Agree on Indiana Jones, it was just OK, really lacked the spark of the earlier IJ movies.

Navy Pier's IMAX theater is playing it for a 72-hour, three-day movie marathon beginning at 11:59 tonight. Reviews I have seen say the IMAX footage is incredible - and IMAX stock is on the rise! Only in America! Smile

I'm going to bop in and see Wall-e on Monday. Batman would be nice. X files; Journey to Center of Earth 3D; Mummy; Mamma Mia? Pineapple express I'll probably just see Wall-e and maybe something in a few weeks at the drive -in. Weather is too nice right now to sit indoors. I feel guilty. Not that I don't like movies or going to the theater - I love it -could do it everyday! But I feel like I should be working or doing something outside recreational or productive.

I've read reviews that make it sound like Wall-E is the Second Coming or something. I haven't seen it, but the trailer I saw, in front of Narnia, pretty much sucked.

I want to see Mama Mia. I loved the musical! Buggy, maybe if you have seen both, we can compare as to the better of the two: stage or screen.

I am fairly certain that given a cape and a nice tiara, I could save the world.

Separate but equal reviews: 13-year and 17-year-old boys declare, "The Dark Knight" "The best movie (they) have ever seen!" Smile

Had just seen The Dark Knight last night, and it was absolutely incredible and VERY UN-predictable. The entire movie is very tense, and it's PG-13 rating is right on the mark...This movie is absolutely not for children under 13. I've bought some of the Dark Knight toys for my kids, but that's it.

Sunday Morning's movie guy had a killer review of Mamma Mia....hint....it's nothing like the musical and surprisingly, according to him, it is not very good.

This link may have the video. Kind of a zany concept for a movie.

I really don't think that anyone would see Mamma Mia as anything but a noncerebral bit of fun. In my opinion, we should all be allowed an evening of mindless viewing every now and then. Besides, this is a chick flick!

Agreed. Though the devastatingly handsome Pierce Brosnan's voice was described as that of a singing water buffalo. Hate to say it, but from the clip I saw....it is hard to disagree.

On the bright side, Sunday Morning is still a very good show. A wonderful alternative to church.

Just saw Dark Knight at the IMAX. Love Christian Bale. Heath Ledger was eerie. Thanks for the Imax suggestion GEmom2! Definitely added something to the movie.

WALL-E was a very pleasant -great movie. I can see where your 5 year old could get bored. It's different... It had a message.

Took the girls in the house to see Mamma Mia. Clam's comment is an insult to the water buffalo. Without doubt, Pierce Brosnan is the most painful part of the movie, which really tries. A lot of fun and, as in all musicals, a suspended disbelief helps. For example, Donna should be about 40. Maybe 42 if she has a 20 year old daughter. Brosnan and Streep are way too old for their roles, but Streep can sing. Brosnan can't.

Saw the stage play years ago, under protest, and was surprised how much I liked it.

Saw Dark Knight last week. Was underwhelmed, but I was impressed by Heath Ledger.

I saw Mamma Mia and although it has wonderful scenery, the movie version just doesn't live up to the stage production. I was disappointed and will see Mamma Mia during the Broadway in Chicago run in September. As for Pierce Brosnan, his singing was awful. Why didn't they use voice overs?
