We had to back out of this event due to the wedding of a good friend. We heard it was well-attended and really fun with over 400 people and a band. Did anyone attend? Comments? Rumor has it if they get enough positive feedback it will be held again next year. Just asking...

I went. They did announce over 400 people attended that night. It was well organized, easy to enter and you could tell who was working the party if you had any questions as they all wore cool black t-shirts. The space was great- really makes you want to bring your car to Gearhead! One of my favorite parts of the evening was the coat rack! They strung pvc pipes around the basement floor to hold everyones coats. Very cool. I have to say though, the band made the party. Lots of dancing, singing and just all around fun watching/listening to the band and dancers.

The only thing I would suggest for next year is to step up the quality of the the liquor. Instead of Miller Lite/Bud kegs, at least get Goose Island. Also some of the wine could have been better.

I know it was a fundraiser, so the liquor issue wouldn't prevent me from going again, as it was really fun. Just remember that we are not in college anymore when choosing the brand of alcohol. After all, it was a cash bar for the most part.

Gearhead is a great place to bring your car to!
