Love Spamalot but I'm concerned about DL. I was disappointed in their production of Pump Boys & Dinettes and a friend gave a lackluster review of their recent production of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
Reviews for Seven Brides in the papers ranged from highly recommended (Sun Times) to somewhat recommended (Trib). That could be the difference between Weiss and Jones.
I have two tickets for tonight's 5pm Spamalot show! They are FREE because my in-laws cannot use them (one of them is ill). Please post here if you want them. I tried to call a few people but since this is last minute, most people have plans. Let me know!

We recently saw Spamalot at DL and I would highly recommend it to anyone who remembers and enjoys Monty Python. I don't believe I ever laughed so much at DL in the past. Very enjoyable show - and a bit of a departure for Drury in that it's aimed at a (slightly) younger crowd!
I didn't find anyone for the tickets. My in-laws are season ticket holders so they were going to try and get tickets for another show....don't konw if they did or not.
I know the Assistant Director for the show - a recent high school graduate. He's a wonderful young man and I've heard the show is fantastic from many people...I'm sure he had some influence on it.

I took my mother there a couple of years back to see something re: Buddy Holly. Thought it would be a miserable time. I was very impressed with the quality. AND . . . I was the youngest person in attendance. Made me feel good. That and the fact that they have a full bar.

I took my family a few years back and they (my wonderful family) made fun of the production all the way home. I was glad we lived close. Now that my husband WANTS to see Spamalot, nope, not me.
A few years back, Drury Lane was just how Shore Thing described it. However, I have seen Cabaret, Ragtime, and Spamalot and if you miss this, you are making a mistake. Productions have changed over there. More Equity actors than before make a big difference. And they still have a full bar and free (or cheap valet) parking.
Went to BoHo for a play and forgot to take the L. I had forgotten what it was like to park in Rogers Park. They held the show for us!
