Shhhhhhhh....

There's talk about a cool art gallery, performing arts venue, and community gathering space coming to downtown Glen Ellyn.

The featured show is a well-known Chicago based comedy act that will certainly bring excitement to town. And additional patrons from surrounding communities; something our downtown economy disparately needs.

In addition to the comedy show, the space will offer various class-act music artists, stand-up comedians, local talent presentations, special public exhibitions, and a place to hang out with friends during the day.

We plan to offer affordable food and drink, and pleasant background music that will bring back memories.

The gallery will feature various local fine artists, photographers and sculptors who've been hiding out in their studios over the years.

On occasion, we'd invite Glen Ellyn people to share their ideas or experiences that are impacting our world locally and globally. If we can afford putting in a wired projection system, we can stream meetings to and from any location around the world.

Perhaps this concept might add a little spark to our downtown. Perhaps not. But I'm willing to take that risk if those in the community are willing to support it.

The village has been very helpful, along with the EDC, and many local businesses. We are looking for modest seed money to bring it to life. We are literally weeks away from opening the doors if the community stands behind this concept.

I'd love to hear from you if you are willing to help make a positive change in our town, and bring a new idea to life.

Call me at 630 469 4658 to get involved.

Sounds cool!
I'm looking forward to hearing more. Can't commit any time to it right now but perhaps in the future. I hope there is lots of positive, helpful feedback.
Break a leg! Wink
