Who We Are...

Paul and Debbie Mademann are the "hands on" owners and operators of PACER Decorating.

In 1988, Paul -- an engineer in corporate America -- was moonlighting as a painter with his brother-in-law. He enjoyed the work and soon left business suit behind, started PACER Decorating, and never looked back.

It's a decision he's never regretted. "Starting the business wasn't hard," says Paul. "The crucial part turns out to be training new employees, and helping them to make the transition from weekend do-it-yourselfers to decorating professionals"

Unlike most business owners, Paul relishes his work partly because it allows him time to be with his family. "I've kept my business small and I've guarded my free time. I take long weekends when I want them, and I can do things like train for a marathon or spend time at home with my family."
